Yealink - Firmware should be placed in the phone model respective folder - Example if you want to upgrade a T28, you put the T28 firmware in the T28 Folder. ie: \firmware\T28\xyz.bin
Language packs are not needed because they are in the firmware itself.

Polycom - Phones only check for firmware from the path where they get the provisioning file. This means that you need to place firmware in the Provisioning folder NOT in firmware folder.
Language packs - Languages should be taken from the COMBINED or SPLIT firmware download from polycom's website and the whole folder named "SoundPointIPLocalization" should be placed in the provisioning folder as it is.

Snom - Firmware updating needs manual configuration and firmwares should be placed in the snom folder \firmware\snom\snom3XX.bin for example.
Language packs - these are not needed for snom. When a snom phone is provisioned, the 3CX Parser instructs the phone to download the languages from the snom website. This means that an active internet connection is needed for the phone to access the language packs.
Once downloaded, the proper language will be activated on the phone's LCD display and the supported languages will be stored in the phone's internal memory.
